Laundry Room Cabinetry: Dream It, Wash It, Fold It, Love It

Laundry room cabinetry may not be the first thing you think of during a remodel, but designing a functional and stylish laundry space can make a big impact. After all, it’s one of the most hardworking areas in any home.

At Sean’s Cabinetry, we worked closely with both the client (Taylor Brown) and their general contractor (construction2style) to bring a highly personalized vision to life. Our goal was to turn what’s typically a utilitarian space into one that’s thoughtfully designed for long-term satisfaction.

From the start, the client had a clear goal: to blend function, efficiency, and style in their laundry room. With smart collaboration and custom solutions, we helped transform that vision into reality and can’t wait to share it with you.

1. Custom Laundry Room Cabinetry

For this laundry room, the client envisioned a space that was not only highly functional but also elevated in style. One of their key requests was the use of frameless, full-access cabinetry to create a clean, modern look with maximum usable space. We loved this approach and were excited to deliver.

The laundry room cabinetry is finished in Illusive Green by Sherwin-Williams, a moody yet calming hue the client selected to add personality and depth to the space. The finish is a durable conversion varnish, offering both beauty and long-lasting performance—perfect for a high-use area like the laundry room.

On the sink wall, we installed 4.3 linear feet of base cabinetry, which includes two drawers for added storage, along with 4.6 linear feet of upper cabinetry for organized vertical storage.

2. Brass Hardware

Have you noticed the elegant brass pulls and knobs that our client selected for the laundry room? They perfectly complement the modern brass-base globe light fixture overhead and a faucet. The warm metallic accents bring a cohesive touch to the space, tying together cabinetry and lighting for a look that feels polished, intentional, and warm.

3. Light Fixture & Natural Light

Including a window in the laundry room is a game-changer—it brings in natural light that instantly brightens the space and makes daily chores feel less like, well, chores. To complement that natural glow and ensure the room stays well-lit on darker days or in the evenings, selecting a beautiful central light fixture is key. It not only adds necessary illumination but also serves as a stylish focal point and allows for light layering. The right fixture will truly tie the room together.

4. Swing Arm Drying Rack

Consider installing a wall-mounted swing arm clothes hanger in a brass gold finish to add both function and style to your laundry room. Positioned within easy reach, this convenient hanger lets you quickly air-dry damp clothes as you pull them from the washer, perfect for delicate fabrics or items that can’t go in the dryer. The swing arm design folds neatly against the wall when not in use. Plus, the warm brass gold finish adds a polished, decorative touch that complements other metal accents in this room.

5. Proper Storage and Laundry Room Cabinetry

Opposite the sink, the laundry room features a custom-designed folding table. The 5.7 linear feet of base cabinetry includes thoughtfully designed open cubbies below, perfectly sized to hold laundry bins or baskets. The can be neatly tucked away but always remain within reach.

This hidden storage helps maintain a clean, uncluttered look while allowing for sorting and organizing clothes. Above, a 68-inch-wide paint-grade wood countertop provides plentiful surface space, ideal for folding fresh laundry straight from the dryer. Paired with a drying rack above, this setup creates a beautiful flow for handling clean clothes.

6. Custom Craftsmanship by Sean’s Cabinetry

All laundry room cabinetry is constructed with solid wood and wood veneer, paired with white melamine interiors for easy cleaning. Drawer boxes are 5/8” solid maple with dovetail joinery, outfitted with full-extension soft-close slides, while doors feature Blum soft-close hinges and a full overlay shaker-routed style.

This laundry room blends smart storage with thoughtful design, an ideal reflection of the client’s style and Sean’s Cabinetry’s commitment to high-quality craftsmanship.

Transform your laundry routine with us at Sean’s Cabinetry. Whether you’re building new or refreshing an existing space, we’ll help you create a laundry room that’s both beautiful and is perfectly integrated into your home.
