Cambria + Sean’s Cabinetry: Minnesota Luxury Brands
In the Twin Cities design world, it’s not unusual to see to see Minnesota luxury brands like Sean’s Cabinetry and Cambria side by side on the same project. Over the years, our paths have crossed with many of the same builders and designers—often working in tandem to bring kitchens, wet bars, and bathrooms to life. Somewhere along the way, what began as collaboration turned into partnership.
At Sean’s Cabinetry, we believe that great design starts with great relationships—built on trust, shared values, and the pursuit of excellence. Cambria embodies those same principles. As a family-owned, American-made company, their story is rooted in integrity, hard work, and a relentless commitment to quality. For decades, they’ve made “Cambria” a name synonymous with visionary design, dependable strength, and beauty.
But what truly sets Cambria apart isn’t just their quartz—it’s their heart. Their dedication to craftsmanship runs parallel with their dedication to people: building up communities, supporting education, and giving back through countless local initiatives. That’s the kind of brand we’re proud to stand beside.
This spotlight is our way of honoring a partner whose innovation, consistency, and generosity have elevated not just our industry, but our region. Together, Minnesota luxury brands Sean’s Cabinetry and Cambria represent more than custom craftsmanship: we represent a shared belief that quality work and community values go hand in hand.
History Of Cambria
More than 80 years ago, the Davis family built their reputation not in quartz or countertops—but in cream. In the 1940s, Stan Davis purchased the St. Peter Creamery in southern Minnesota, marking the start of a legacy defined by hard work, entrepreneurial risk-taking, and a deep pride in quality.
From butter and cheese to whey protein and global dairy leadership, the Davis family spent decades perfecting their approach to craftsmanship, innovation, and American manufacturing.
That same relentless spirit set the stage for something entirely new. In 1999, the Davis family saw potential in a small Minnesota quartz start-up and took a daring leap—from dairy to design. They purchased the equipment, built a manufacturing facility in Le Sueur, and launched what would become Cambria, the first and only American-made quartz surface brand.
2. From Dairy to Design: The Birth of Cambria
Cambria’s story began at the intersection of science, art, and industry. By 2000, they were producing their first slabs of quartz—crafted not just as a product, but as a promise: family-owned, American-made, and uncompromising in quality.
Over the next two decades, Cambria expanded into one of the most respected surface manufacturers in the world. From their original 150,000-square-foot facility in Minnesota, they’ve grown into a network of showrooms and distribution centers across North America—recently adding new locations in Charlotte, Washington D.C., Boston, Omaha, and Kansas City. Their reach is global, yet their roots remain firmly planted in Midwestern soil.
But beyond growth, Cambria continues to stand for values that matter to us at Sean’s Cabinetry as well:
Community: through scholarship programs, English-language education, and philanthropic initiatives like Camp Cambria for children with juvenile arthritis.
Craftsmanship: by keeping production in-house, controlling every detail from quarry to countertop.
Innovation: through industry-defining collections such as Waterstone™, Marble™, and Alloy™, and their newly introduced finishes, Cambria Luxe™ and Cambria Satin™.
3. Why We Partner with Cambria — Time After Time
At Sean’s Cabinetry, we believe true luxury isn’t about excess—it’s about excellence. That’s why Cambria has remained our surface partner of choice for years.
Like us, they’re a family business that values craftsmanship over shortcuts and people over profits. Their history of innovation mirrors our own drive to blend design, function, and integrity into every project we create.
From kitchens to custom vanities, Cambria’s surfaces elevate our cabinetry, adding beauty, durability, and a sense of permanence that reflects what both our brands stand for. It is always about American-made quality with an unwavering eye for detail.
Together, we craft spaces that are not just beautiful, but built to last.
4. Why Minnesota Luxury Brands Belong Together
When you’re building a custom home or remodeling a space, custom luxury brands go hand in hand. It’s tempting to cut corners—mixing prefabricated cabinetry with high-end countertops—but that balance rarely lasts. Those lower-end cabinets may look fine at first, but in a few short years, they start to show their age. Suddenly, you’re staring at a kitchen or wet bar you no longer love, torn between replacing the cabinets or keeping the countertops you invested in. It’s not a great place to be.
That’s why Minnesota luxury brands like Sean’s Cabinetry and Cambria align so naturally. We share a belief that great design begins with great materials—and great service to back them up. When something isn’t right, we fix it. When a client needs support years later, we show up. Our products are built to last, and so are our relationships. Choosing custom means choosing a team that stands behind its work, ensuring every detail continues to bring you joy long after the project is complete.
We also share a commitment to process and precision. Our clients often tell us they appreciate how efficient and organized our systems are—from design consultations to final installation. Both Sean’s Cabinetry and Cambria bring that same disciplined, process-heavy approach to every project. Whether you have a clear vision or need help shaping one, our teams can do anything you imagine—beautifully, efficiently, and with craftsmanship you can trust.
