Responsibilities:

As an Engineer at Sean’s Cabinetry, you will be responsible for designing and optimizing cabinetry solutions that meet the technical specifications and requirements of our customers. You will play an integral role in supporting the production and field operations teams by ensuring that all engineered designs are functional, efficient, and sustainable. Your key responsibilities include:

  • Collaborating with the design, production, and field operations teams to create and optimize cabinet designs for manufacturability & functionality while maintaining client expectations.

  • Developing and maintaining detailed technical drawings, CAD models, and specifications to support production and installation.

  • Conducting material analysis and selecting the most suitable materials for each project, ensuring both cost-effectiveness and quality.

  • Performing engineering calculations and assessments to verify the structural integrity and durability of designs.

  • Supporting the implementation of the 2-Second Lean Methodology by identifying opportunities for process improvements in design and production.

  • Ensuring all designs comply with industry standards and regulations, maintaining a strong focus on sustainability and environmental responsibility.

  • Continuously improving designs by soliciting feedback from the production and installation teams and adapting to evolving customer needs.

QUALIFICATIONS
Education & Experience

  • Real-world, hands-on experience in cabinetry or millwork engineering is strongly preferred. Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Architectural Engineering is a plus, but not required. 

  • At least 3 years of experience in master assembly, installation, or technical design (cabinetry, millwork, construction, or manufacturing preferred).

  • Experience working with custom or semi-custom cabinetry or woodworking environments is a strong plus.

Technical Skills

  • Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, SketchUp, Cabinet Vision, SolidWorks, or similar).

  • Ability to create detailed shop drawings, technical plans, and production-ready documentation.

  • Strong understanding of:

  • Cabinet construction methods (frameless, face-frame, joinery, etc.)

  • Materials (plywood, MDF, hardwoods, laminates, finishes)

  • Hardware systems (hinges, slides, accessories)

  • Ability to perform basic engineering calculations related to load, durability, and structural integrity.

  • Familiarity with manufacturing processes and designing for efficiency (DFM – Design for Manufacturability).

In alignment with the EOS Business Model, your role as Engineer directly supports the company’s long-term vision by ensuring that all engineered solutions align with Sean’s Cabinetry’s strategic goals. You will work closely with the leadership team, including the
Integrator, to ensure that your engineering solutions help drive the company forward.

Utilizing the 2-Second Lean Methodology, you will continuously look for ways to streamline the design and production processes, reduce waste, and improve overall efficiency within the engineering department. This proactive approach will help us maintain a competitive edge while staying aligned with our company’s core values and vision.
